Childcare Apprentice (Early Years Educator) Glaisdale Day Nursery
To assist the Room leader/Deputy leader and the team in the day to day running of the room. Supporting the team and the children in their routines and activities, keeping children safe, clean and feeling nurtured. To use your initiative and put new skills and knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage Statutory Framework into your practice.

The current National Minimum Wage for an apprentice is £3.50 an hour. This rate applies to apprentices under 19 and those aged 19 or over who are in their first year.
Apprentices must be paid at least the minimum wage rate for their age if they are aged 19 or over and have completed their first year.
The minimum wage rates are £5.60 an hour for 18-20 year olds and £7.05 for anyone aged 21 and over.
Apprentices are paid for their normal working hours and training that’s part of their apprenticeship (usually one day per week).

Intermediate Level Apprenticeship

To use your initiative and put new skills and knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage Statutory Framework into your everyday practice.
Requirements and prospects
Experience of working with children (perhaps as a babysitter or with younger siblings)
Be a good role model, demonstrating appropriate behaviour and language, being polite to parents, staff team and visitors to the setting
English and Maths GCSE Grade C (or equivilent) desirable but not essential

Glaisdale Day Nursery
The Glaisdale Apprenticeship Academy is run by an independent Training Provider, but with the support of 4 qualified in-house Assessors.
All qualifications are delivered over a 12 - 18-month period, with monthly formal off-the-job workshops, work shadowing across all three settings in the group and monthly 1-1 meetings.
Apprentices are supported and encouraged to progress in their careers and gain further qualifications.
