    Wages explained

    The current National Minimum Wage rates are £4.05 an hour for 16 - 17 year olds, £5.60 an hour for 18 - 20 year olds and £7.05 for anyone aged 21 and over.
    Apprentices are paid for their normal working hours and training that’s part of their apprenticeship(usually one day per week).

The main duties of this role involve:

  • Preparing meat and vegetables
  • Making up salads, sauces, sandwiches
  • Preparing cakes and hot and cold beverages.

Please note that Blackpool & The Fylde College offer CV building sessions should you wish to use this facility. From 1st of April 2017 the National Minimum Wage (NMW) rate for apprentices is £3.50 per hour. This applies to 16-18 year old apprentices and those aged 19 or over in the first year of their Apprenticeship. Those between the ages of 19-24 who are in their second year (or third year) need to be paid the National Minimum Wage for their age bracket. In April 2016 the new National Living Wage was implemented and therefore if you are over the age of 25 and in your second or third year of an Apprenticeship you will be entitled to be paid the National Living Wage. About the employer

Sandwich bar/takeaway on the busy Poulton Industrial Estate. With a menu consisting of sandwiches including the ever popular bacon, sausage, egg and every variation. The full breakfast, 2 sausage, 2 bacon, 2 eggs, 2 hash browns, tomatoes, beans mushrooms and 2 slices of toast excellent value for those with a hearty appetite and there is a mini version also available. A range of sandwiches, toasties, and paninis made fresh to order and salad boxes for those who prefer a lighter bite. As well as sandwiches we do burgers, jacket potatoes with various fillings, chips, pies and soup. Delivery service available too
