The comprehensive programme provides you with an exciting and challenging opportunity to achieve formal qualifications through extensive product training, while in full-time employment.

Duties will include:

  • Acting as the first point of contact for all customers coming into the dealership and ensuring they receive the best customer service experience
  • Upselling and cross-selling additional products and services
  • Booking in cars for MOT's and service
  • Be courteous and polite to all visitors both face to face and via the telephone
  • Answering telephone calls, emails and mail
  • Working to a high level of customer service at all times
  • Any other duties as and when required

Upon successful completion and review of the Level 2 Apprenticeship the post holder will progress to a level 3 Apprenticeship

About the employer

The MB Centre was formed in November 2005 by Nick Winter, formally of B&K Thomas Ltd. The company comprises of former employees of B&K Thomas and Mercedes-Benz of Nottingham. The M B Centre currently employs only former Mercedes-Benz main dealer technicians. The company's original premises were in Little Tennis Street in Colwick with just Nick and one other member of staff. They remained there for three years with a steady growth until customer demand and a desire to expand the company created the need for larger premises.

Training provider

  • The Programme for the Service Technician Apprentice incorporates underpinning knowledge delivered in partnership and managed by EMTEC Colleges
  • One to one will also take place regularly through 121 visits to the dealership from EMTEC Vocational Learning Advisors who observe all evidence opportunities that occur naturally in the workplace

 Nationally recognised qualifications:

  • IMI Level 2 Certificate in Customer Service for the Automotive Industry
  • IMI accreditation - Customer Service Advisor
  • Regular in-dealer review and assessment visits

The current National Minimum Wage (NMW) rate for apprentices is £3.50 per hour. This applies to 16-18 year old apprentices and those aged over 18 in the first year of their Apprenticeship. For all other apprentices the National Minimum wage appropriate to their age applies. The Minimum Wage for Apprentices applies to time spent on the job plus time spent training * Please note that anyone under the age of 18 will only work a maximum of 40 hours per week.
