Duties will include:

  • Screen and respond to incoming telephone calls, ensuring that their requirements are promptly dealt with and that they are given a favourable impression of the company
  • To ensure that Bluegrass Engineers supply the appropriate technical information so that the Sales Department can supply a quote to our clients
  • Liaise with our clients and engineers to determine priorities
  • Work with our suppliers to source the best quote possible for our clients
  • Create and send quotes which match the needs of our clients
  • Manage expectations of costs and turnaround times
  • Manage the Sales Board when the Operations Manager is not around
  • Ensure that all correspondence with clients, suppliers and internally are documented thoroughly in the relevant places.
  • Work with the Operations Manager and Sales Department to ensure that we are proactively sourcing competitive quotes and solutions for our clients. E.g. Warranties, Software Renewals

  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively in writing, face to face and over the telephone with a wide ranging audience.
  • Ability to speak with a smile in a clear understandable voice.
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Work and Excel

Qualifications required

  • Minimum of 3 GCSEs or equivalent (this includes A-C in Maths and English)
  • Ideally some level of IT would be desirable.

The National Minimum Wage (NMW) for Apprentices is �3.50 per hour. This applies to 16-18 year old Apprentices and those aged over 19 in the first year of their Apprenticeship. For all other Apprentices the National Minimum wage appropriate to their age applies. The Minimum Wage for Apprentices applies to time spent on the job plus time spent training.
