The position available is for a Customer Service Apprentice for the company’s Stamford store. 

The successful candidate will be helping customers with:

  • Queries and questions.
  • Processing sales through the till.
  • Helping with maintaining standards.
  • General store maintenance.

You will be responsible for helping all customers in a polite, friendly and courteous manner, helping to increase repeat customers.

You will report to the Store Manager in the first instance.

Requirements and prospects

Desired skills

  • You will need to have excellent attention to detail, excellent communication skills and interpersonal skills.
  • You will also need to be a quick learner and able to adapt quickly.

Personal qualities

  • You will need to be personable and honest, friendly and adaptable to change.
  • Being able to think on your feet and use initiative is also a must, as during quiet periods you will need to keep yourself busy whilst being ready to help customers at the drop of a hat. 

Qualifications required

  • GCSE A-C in English and Maths or equivalent desired but not essential.

Future prospects

The successful candidate will have the opportunity of full time permanent employment.

Training provider

  • You will be trained to Stocktake, work on the till and how to interact with customers effectively. This will then lead onto more aspects of the qualification.
  • Candidates will gain a level 2 qualification in customer service upon successful completion of the apprenticeship.
