The role will include a number of tasks required for the apprentice to perform in the electrical engineering environment:

  • Working safely in an Engineering environment
  • Carrying out Engineering activities efficiently & Effectively
  • Using & communicating technical information
  • Assembling and Testing Electrical Equipment and circuits
  • Maintaining electrical equipment/systems
  • Carrying out fault diagnosis on Electrical equipment and circuits
  • Modifying or rewiring electrical circuits
  • Assisting in the installation of electrical/electronic equipment
  • Electrical maintenance operations
  • Electrical & Electronic principles
  • Electrical & Electronic systems and devices
  • Electrical installation methods, wiring &circuit protection

If you successfully complete your apprenticeship, you will have the opportunity to advance to a higher level Apprenticeship programme. Once your apprenticeship is complete, there is also a possibility of being employed full time

Things to consider

One day a week you will be required to attend Strode College, Street to undergo the taught input for the apprenticeship.
