Responsibilities:

  • To commit to working as part of an effective team within the Network and Engineering department.
  • To maintain the highest standard of professional conduct at all times with internal and external customers and colleagues.
  • To be committed to the principles and practice of Continuous Professional Development and to undertake additional training to meet individual and organisational needs.
  • To liaise with Engineers throughout the day, obtaining progress reports.
  • To maintain Engineers diaries.
  • To develop a good working relationship with Engineers and Internal Departments.
  • Sourcing and raising part requests to be ordered.
  • To clear jobs on the database inputting all relevant information in an accurate and timely manner.
  • To cover team members duties as and when required.
  • Adhere to Key Performance Indicators (KPI's) and objectives as defined.
  • Status check all outstanding work daily.
  • Communicate with Internal Departments via variety of medium including email, fax and telephone.
  • Sending letters where appropriate and contracts out to the customer.
  • To schedule and co-ordinate new installations, additional works and engineers workload on a daily basis, ensuring, that both internal and external client expectations are met.
  • Ensure the engineers are despatched to jobs in the most efficient and timely manner.

  • Any A Level or a Level 3 in a similar subject
  • Or holds an existing project management qualification

Future prospects

92% of QA Apprentices secure permanent employment after finishing their apprenticeship. Additionally there may be opportunities to undertake further apprenticeship training as many of our programs offer on-going development tracks.

Things to consider

The current National Minimum Wage for an apprentice is £3.50 an hour. This rate applies to apprentices under 19 and those aged 19 or over who are in their first year. Apprentices must be paid at least the minimum wage rate for their age if they are aged 19 or over and have completed their first year. The minimum wage rates are £5.60 an hour for 18-20 year olds and £7.05 for anyone aged 21 and over. Apprentices are paid for their normal working hours and training that’s part of their apprenticeship (usually one day per week).
