Our online marketing department are dedicated in providing a professional and successful service, helping a range of businesses improve their online presence and web capabilities.

As a Junior Web Developer, you'll work across a number of content management systems gaining valuable experience and skills on common platforms including WordPress, Magneto Joomla and much more. Your job will be to help the team to design, create and develop clients websites.


Requirements and prospects

Desired skills

  • Semantic HTML5
  • Experience with front end CSS frameworks such as bootstrap, foundation for sites or semantic ui.
  • Experience with CSS pre-processors, such as less or sass.
  • JavaScript and JavaScript libraries, preferably jQuery.
  • Photoshop / illustrator
  • Solid understanding of responsive design and cross browser compatibility issues.

Personal qualities

  • Experience of working in a busy agency environment
  • Ability to work on multiple projects over the course of a week
  • Ability to work with graphic designers and develop front end HTML / CSS based on supplied Photoshop documents
  • Calm and efficient problem solver.

Qualifications required

5 GCSEs at grades A*- C or equivalent (including English Language and Maths)

Training provider

The Estio Training IT Apprenticeship programme gives young people the opportunity to get hands on experience in the IT industry whilst still employed in a real paid job with no cost or debt.

Learners will receive 9-11 weeks of intensive training. Whilst in the workplace, apprentices will also receive continual assessment, and help and guidance from a dedicated trainer who will be there to ensure that they get the most from their work experience.
