You will learn to become competent in the management of the complete Sales and Service processes for all the product range. Also learning the technical service requirements to be able to carry out sales and service visits to the worldwide customer and distributor network. The apprenticeship will follow a Technical Support route to learn all aspects of how the business runs and supports customers.

A normal day would include:

  • The role is to provide technical support to all commercial, sales and service activities across the company Developing a strong practical and technical working knowledge of all companies products.
  • The role has a large element of field service work at customers across the UK and worldwide and will involve a lot of travel once you become technically competent in the role. Office based technical sales support will also be a requirement when requested to support all other areas of the business.
  • You will develop practical workshop knowledge and skills to gain a good understanding of the manufacturing processes for all products.
  • You will develop your skills to understand and interpret a wide range of technical specifications and drawings. This will lead to you becoming competent in the production of technical quotations and documentation for customer quotations and order processing.
  • Your aim will be to become fully competent to provide Technical Support for any site or customer support requests as a full member of the Technical Team.
  • Working correctly at all times to the company Environmental, ISO quality and H&S procedures.
  • Producing and maintaining accurate records in accordance with role requirements.
  • Demonstrating continual commitment to develop your skills and knowledge throughout your apprenticeship.

Qualifications required

  • The successful candidate will have achieved GCSE or equivalent minimum Grade C in Maths, English and Science.
  • Good I.T. skills with GCSE or equivalent grade C or equivalent level of achievement is also required.
  • Knowledge and experience of computer packages is required.
