  • As a member of the Warehouse Team contribute to the effective working of all aspects of this business section, providing support and assistance as required along with holiday and sickness cover.
  • In a busy environment, manage competing workload and priorities so that the best interests of all customers are served, seeking management support if irresolvable service conflicts exist.
  • Establish and maintain a clean, tidy and safe working environment and equipment which includes; The Warehouse, The gardens and car park, The company vans/ tools/ equipment
  • Familiarise yourself with other team members' routine duties to ensure you are suitably trained, seeking management support if required.
  • Physically locate stock to the selected locations ensuring stock is maintained in an efficient, organised and tidy manner.
  • Manage the cutting process to ensure minimum waste and high utilisation of materials.
  • Work closely with Administration to ensure correct movement of stock.
  • Assist in stock taking.
  • Deal with returns.

Things to consider

The current National Minimum Wage for an apprentice is £3.50 an hour. This rate applies to apprentices under 19 and those aged 19 or over who are in their first year. Apprentices must be paid at least the minimum wage rate for their age if they are aged 19 or over and have completed their first year. The minimum wage rates are £5.60 an hour for 18-20 year olds and £7.05 for anyone aged 21 and over. Apprentices are paid for their normal working hours and training that’s part of their apprenticeship (usually one day per week).

About the employer

Durham Filtration was founded in 1977 to service the local need for compressed air and air filtration products. During the 1980’s North Sea oil industry boom, the company expanded its product range and geographic area, becoming one of the key players for single source filtration supply contracts for the offshore oil and gas industry.
