    The current National Minimum Wage for an apprentice is £3.50 an hour. This rate applies to apprentices under 19 and those aged 19 or over who are in their first year.
    Apprentices must be paid at least the minimum wage rate for their age if they are aged 19 or over and have completed their first year.
    The minimum wage rates are £5.60 an hour for 18-20 year olds and £7.05 for anyone aged 21 and over.
    Apprentices are paid for their normal working hours and training that’s part of their apprenticeship (usually one day per week).

This role will be varied from dealing with telephone queries and school visitors, inputting data, paperwork, filing to supporting the teaching staff with various administrative processes.

  • The primary responsibilities are:
  • Maintenance of MIS system, Integris
  • Set up staff accounts and access rights.
  • Assisting staff with day to day use of Integris.
  • Input of data using Integris to assist with the student and staff database.
  • Assist Data Manager with Statutory Returns 
  • School Census and School Workforce Census.
  • Assist with the production of data and reports as required.
  • Keep accurate records of all groups in school systems.
  • Assisting with the setting up of new systems to meet the needs of the Senior Leadership Team, Heads of Year and Pathway Directors.
  • Reporting and solving Integris software problems liaising with the Integris helpline.

Training provider

Competency qualification: Apprentices will be required to produce work and build an e-portfolio of evidence through blended learning which will include practical and written knowledge assessments which are carried out in the workplace.   
Knowledge:  Underpinning knowledge will involve attending the classroom for 4 short exams which takes 40 minutes each ( the exams will not be taken at the same time) , and a programme of e-learning (any exam revision required will be undertaken in the classroom) 
Functional Skills at level 2 in Maths and English:  Functional Skills (projects and tests) will be taught in the classroom for a period of 15 weeks (half a day per functional skill)
Extended award in Employment and Personal skills (a combination of Employment Rights & Responsibilities and Personal Learning & Thinking Skills) will be delivered by  e-learning, research and the completion of a workbook and assignment.
