Duties will include:

  • Working alongside qualified Technicians with the investigation, repair and service of vehicles
  • Producing estimates
  • Carrying out diagnostics
  • Assisting with MOT's on vehicles
  • Other general technical duties and general housekeeping
  • Providing excellent customer service to internal and external customers.

Qualifications required

GCSE's at grade A* to C (or equivalent) in Maths and English. Science and ICT are desirable

Future prospects

Upon successful completion and review of your Level 2 Apprenticeship you will progress onto the Level 3 Apprenticeship. Your salary shall be reviewed throughout your apprenticeship.

Things to consider

Candidate must be able to travel to the workplace according to working hours. From 1st of April 2017 the National Minimum Wage (NMW) rate for apprentices is £3.50 per hour. This applies to 16-18 year old apprentices and those aged 19 or over in the first year of their Apprenticeship. Those between the ages of 19-24 who are in their second year (or third year) need to be paid the National Minimum Wage for their age bracket. In April 2016 the new National Living Wage was implemented and therefore if you are over the age of 25 and in your second or third year of an Apprenticeship you will be entitled to be paid the National Living Wage.
