Your main job role will be to assist with the creation of conveyor belts. You will be expected to complete the following tasks:


  • Cutting fabric to the specified width and length
  • Operating the required machinery
  • Visiting customer sites and installing conveyor belts
  • Being available for emergency call-outs
  • Manual handling and heavy lifting


You may be required to complete other tasks to successfully fulfil your job role.


Requirements and prospects

Desired skills

You must be able to lift heavy items and be physically fit. An interest in this type of role would be beneficial. Ideas to improve yourself and others within the job role.

Personal qualities

You need to have the confidence to ask questions if you are stuck, be self-motivated and use your initiative. A drivers licence would be advantageous but not essential at this point however it is something that will be needed in the future.

Qualifications required

Ideally GCSE Grade C and above (or equivalent) Maths, Science and English.

Future prospects

Things to consider

This is an Engineering environment and may involve you getting dirty. There could well be some heavy lifting involved with constant use of hot sealing equipment.
