We would like an apprentice nutworker to join us in our granola mission helping and learning all aspects of the business from marketing through administration to making product and meeting customers. We are a young company where everyone works together and supports each other.

The vacancy is for a Business Administration Apprentice Level 2. You will join our team of 4 and be involved in all aspects of the business.

Your days will be varied and you will spend time in production as well as your key role in the office.

Duties will include:

  • Dealing with customers and our nutty customers and fans
  • Working on our Social Media agenda
  • Marketing and raising our profile
  • Market Research and competitor analysis
  • Processing customer orders including financial transactions
  • Answering the telephone
  • Stock ordering
  • Dealing with emails
  • Invoicing Planning Technical and quality records and systems

This is a non-exhaustive list.

Monday to Friday 9am to 5.00pm with a 30 minute break. 37.5 hours per week.

There may be optional and occasional work at weekends for which time off would be given in lieu.

Future prospects

On successful completion of the apprenticeship there may be the opportunity to join us permanently and also to move onto Level 3.

Things to consider

The current National Minimum Wage for an apprentice is £3.50 an hour. This rate applies to apprentices under 19 and those aged 19 or over who are in their first year. Apprentices must be paid at least the minimum wage rate for their age if they are aged 19 or over and have completed their first year. The minimum wage rates are £5.60 an hour for 18-20 year olds and £7.05 for anyone aged 21 and over. Apprentices are paid for their normal working hours and training that’s part of their apprenticeship (usually one day per week).

We are also expanding into the European market with our first stockist in Denmark. The company currently consists of the owner and 4 employees with family support from time to time.
