    Wages explained

    The current National Minimum Wage for an apprentice is £3.50 an hour. This rate applies to apprentices under 19 and those aged 19 or over who are in their first year.
    Apprentices must be paid at least the minimum wage rate for their age if they are aged 19 or over and have completed their first year.
    The minimum wage rates are £5.60 an hour for 18-20 year olds and £7.05 for anyone aged 21 and over.
    Apprentices are paid for their normal working hours and training that’s part of their apprenticeship (usually one day per week).

The Vehicle Fitting Principals Apprenticeship Programme is designed to train and develop apprentices in a way that enables them to keep pace with advancing technology and high levels of customer service.

The comprehensive programme provides apprentices with an exciting and challenging opportunity to achieve formal qualifications through extensive product training, while in full-time employment.

Eden Tyres and Servicing have a fantastic opportunity for a Vehicle Fast Fit Apprentice to join their prestigious approved Ferrari dealership based in Newark, Nottingham. This is an exciting opportunity with training delivered at the Nottingham College training facility on London Road and superb future career prospects.

Duties will include:

  • Inspecting, repairing and replacing high performance light vehicle and motorcycle tyres
  • Carrying out light vehicle front wheel alignment
  • Inspecting and replacing light vehicle clutches, exhaust components, suspension dampers, vehicle batteries and braking systems
  • Safe use of oxy-acetylene
  • Assessing and securing a roadside situation

Qualifications required

  • 5 GCSEs at grade A* to D (or equivalent) including Maths, English essential
  • Science and ICT are desirable

Future prospects

Upon successful completion and review of the Level 2 Apprenticeship, the post holder will progress on to a level 3 Apprenticeship. Your salary shall be reviewed throughout your apprenticeship.
