This role will have a variety of responsibilities, included but not limited to:

  • Provide administrative support to all areas of the office
  • Communicate effectively with applicants via telephone, email and written communication
  • Collect evidence in support of a case
  • To provide cover for the Jurisdiction team and Business support
  • Distribute written information throughout the organisation regarding in house matters
  • Manage their own workload

Future prospects

At the end of this scheme and training we would expect the apprentice to be equipped with the right knowledge and skills to apply for an Assistant Adjudicator position, should one be available within the organisation. Alternatively, we would expect them be able to apply for a similar role in another organisation.

Things to consider

The National Minimum Wage (NMW) for Apprentices is £3.50 per hour from April 1st 2017. This applies to 16-18 year old Apprentices and those aged over 19 in the first year of their Apprenticeship. For all other Apprentices the National Minimum wage appropriate to their age applies. The wage for Apprentices applies to both time spent on the job and time spent training.
