  • Responsibilities of the Technical Support Apprentice:
  • The daily tasks will include:


  • Learning on Synel hardware solution
  • Preparing, testing and fixing Synel’s hardware (biometric and smart cards devices for access and time recording + CCTV and intercom)
  • Installing hardware at customers sites – connecting to network and programming
  • Fixing and maintaining hardware at customer sites
  • Communication with customers and supporting on the phone
  • Working with CRM to record cases and resolutions
  • Helping with workshop related tasks
  • The position is supervised by the workshop manager and the field engineer department manager
  • It includes work in Wembley office and at customer sites.

Requirements of the Technical Support Apprentice:


  • Minimum 5 GCSE Grades (C and above) or equivalent, including Maths and English
  • Valid interest in our business and products
  • Enthusiasm for IT, Harware & Software
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Good organisation skills and be willing to learn
  • Ability to work well in a team environment
  • High attention to detail with
  • problem solving skills

An enthusiastic and professional attitude and commitment to learning new skills.

Qualifications required

Someone with ideally 5 GCSE grades (C and above) or equivalent, including Maths and English

Future prospects

Training provider

Programme duration

  • L3 & L4 total duration: 31-39 months
  • Part 1 – Level 3 apprenticeship: 13-15 months
  • Part 2 – Level 4 apprenticeship: 18-24 months

Approximately 3% of training takes place in the QA learning centre classroom. 17% is done in the workplace, through workplace units, face-to-face meetings with your QA Assessor, or developing your portfolio. The remaining time will be spent on your workplace activity.
