We have a vacancy for an Apprentice Customer Service Agent. Year 1 will focus on developing key customer service skills through answering customer queries both over the phone and face to face. The role will also involve general administration, queue management and booking VIP services and onward transport. If the candidate successfully completes the first year, they will move on to learn about Airline rules and regulations including sales and revenue collection. This will involve learning multiple airline reservation systems

This role is based at Gatwick Airport, Shifts are part of the deal. You will work 4 on 2 off shift pattern across 7 days. Your shift will be 06.00 - 14.00 or 12.00 - 20.00. You must have a real interest in travel..

Your Service Centre Gatwick, in partnership with Skybreak is an established customer service and sales centre based at Gatwick Airport’s north and south terminals for over 20 years. Working alongside Gatwick Airport and providing services for 80% of Gatwick’s airlines, tour operators and the general public, Skybreak specialise in looking after disrupted passenger’s and facilitating airline pre departure requirements including but not limited to; excess baggage, changes in flights, hotel and ground transport arrangements and general information and customer service.

Training provider

You will receive on the job training from the employer and in conjunction with this you will undertake a QCF Level II in Customer Service with Functional Skills in Maths, English (and I.T. if necessary) and you will also complete an Employment Rights and Responsibilities Workbook.

Please note that most, if not all, the qualification and associated elements will be delivered in the workplace and there will be no weekly day release. You will probably find that, at the very most, you will need to come to our facility for only 1 day of tests in the whole year but even these tests may be conducted in the workplace.

The salary is based on 35 hours per week. Company uniform and land side ID pass are provided. There is subsidised parking if you drive and a discount scheme for staff who travel by train (there is a fee for this).
