The Mechanical apprentice will work across all our manufacturing areas at our Stokenchurch Factory during the course of the 3 year program using: Drills, Mills, Lathes, CNC’s, TIG welders and sheet metal tools.  Alongside projects and skill development tasks the main role is to assist in the manufacturing our high quality specialist air measurement devices, augmented with any other tasks deemed appropriate by your supervisor to meet business needs.

Requirements and prospects

Desired skills

•    Good level of Numeracy and Literacy
•    Basic understanding of Engineering would be desirable
•    Manual dexterity

Qualifications required

5 x GCSEs at grade A-C including Maths, English and Science (or equivalent).

Future prospects

We hope the apprentice will go on to fulful their full potential somewhere in our team initially on the manufacturing side of the business. Our previous Apprentice recently finished their course and is now part of our skilled production team split between TIG welding and main manufacturing functions, with further TIG and CAD training on their career progression plan. However it will be down to the individual and their career plan to decide which side of the business they wish to develop towards after their initial apprenticeship: Manufacturing/testing/design etc

We also manufacture and supply specialist test equipment for the Automotive Industry for EBHS Testing and NVH Engineering. All of our front end air measurement products are made at our UK Factory by our highly skilled and experienced engineers.
