Working with adults from 18 upwards who require care and support with:

  • Daily activities
  • Personal care
  • Cleaning
  • Cooking
  • Laundry duties
  • Attending appointments and shopping.

You will promote independence and choice for all service users whilst considering their dignity and respect.

You may work with individuals who have learning difficulties, physical disabilities, challenging behaviour, autism, mental health and restrictive communication needs.

Things to consider

This position is on a shift pattern and will include weekends and possible sleep ins within the home. Holiday entitlement: 20 days plus 8 bank holidays Staff benefits: Overtime available, time and half pay for bank holidays Those under 18 require two days off per week and cannot work more than 40hrs/week or more than 8 hours/day. The current National Minimum Wage for an apprentice is £3.50 an hour. This rate applies to apprentices under 19 and those aged 19 or over who are in their first year. Apprentices must be paid at least the minimum wage rate for their age if they are aged 19 or over and have completed their first year. The minimum wage rates are £5.60 an hour for 18-20 year olds and £7.05 for anyone aged 21 and over. Apprentices are paid for their normal working hours and training that’s part of their apprenticeship (usually one day per week). For more information visit:
