We are a team who look after Warwickshire's Care Records, supporting Social Care in the county. This is great opportunity for you to join our team and gain administrative experience and a qualification to launch your career!

Your role will be to support the team and assist with routine Care Records Information Systems administrative tasks, ensuring customer demand is met proactively, positively and in a timely fashion.

You'll communicate effectively with customers, stakeholders and partners, and work with Customer Support Analysts to ensure documentation of processes is updated and communicated effectively to system users.

By providing support at all levels of the Care Systems Team, you'll gain a full understanding of how the team works together to reach its goals and help to improve the service the team provides to its customers.  

The day to day work you do in this role, along with training provided by the team and more generally by the Council, will support you to be able to complete your apprenticeship in Business Administration.

The duties within this role are:

  • To carry out routine Care Records System maintenance administration tasks proactively and in line with documented procedures
  • To administer the Care Records Information Systems undertaking routine, documented tasks including user change and access requests, duplicate management and updates
  • To communicate effectively with customers, stakeholders and partners
  • To work with Customer Support Analysts to ensure documentation of processes is updated and communicated effectively to system users
  • Provide support at all levels of the Care Systems Team and gain a full understanding of how the team works together to reach its goals
  • Understand and present the KPI reporting and other key facts for the team and help to improve the service the team provides to its customers

Qualifications required

At least 5 GCSE grades at A – C including English and Maths is desirable but not essential

Although permanent employment cannot be guaranteed upon completion, we recruit apprentices to be part of the future of the council. Things to consider

Apprenticeship Pay Scale from 1 April 2017: Point 1 = £149.85 per week, £4.05 per hour, £7,813.61 per annum – initial salary for all new starters for the first 12 months of the apprenticeship Progression of pay after 12 months are complete as follows: Point 2 = £207.20 per week, £5.60 per hour, £10,804.00 per annum - completed 12 months and aged 19 - 20 Point 3 = £260.85 per week, £7.05 per hour, £13,601.46 per annum - completed 12 months and aged 21 – 24 (Fixed term salary point for higher Apprentices) Point 4 = £277.50 per week, £7.50 per hour, £14,469.64 per annum – completed 12 months and aged 25+All apprentices start at Point 1. You reach Point 2 if aged 19 or above and have completed 12 months of the apprenticeship. You reach Point 3 if aged 21 or above and have completed 12 months of the apprenticeship. You reach Point 4 if aged 25 or above and have completed 12 months of the apprenticeship. An apprenticeship is a job with an attached qualification – not a college course with attached work experience. You’ll be expected to uphold the same standards of professionalism and behaviour as all other members of staff. Full support will be provided to help you adjust to full time work. You must be able to travel to Warwick, where this role is based, and also be able to travel to other locations across the county when the job requires – support will be provided for this.
