    Wages explained

    The current National Minimum Wage for an apprentice is £3.50 an hour. This rate applies to apprentices under 19 and those aged 19 or over who are in their first year.
    Apprentices must be paid at least the minimum wage rate for their age if they are aged 19 or over and have completed their first year.
    The minimum wage rates are £5.60 an hour for 18-20 year olds and £7.05 for anyone aged 21 and over.
    Apprentices are paid for their normal working hours and training that’s part of their apprenticeship (usually one day per week).

To assist in the recruitment of students to all college courses by supporting the administration of course applications and admissions processes, marketing mailshots and events, and delivering good customer service. 

Main Duties

To support the Schools Liaison, Marketing and Admissions Team with:

  • The recruitment of students to the College
  • Taking responsibility for answering initial course enquiries and applications
  • Making calls to applicants to book interviews and chase up interview attendance
  • Mail merges and distribution of mail shots by post, email and text message
  • Filing of applicant details and admissions paperwork
  • Inputting of student data and other paperwork for admissions
  • Supporting key college events such as taster days, new student days, open events and enrolment
  • The collation of marketing resources for events and interviews
  • Supporting the marketing team to update college information online including college websites
  • Support the Admissions Team with the organisation of online skills assessments for applicants
  • Organise and collect the departments post and stationary
  • Organising office and marketing materials
