We are looking for enthusiastic Front of House Apprentice to join our team at Mollys Restaurant.

Your duties will include:

  • Meeting and greeting customers
  • Taking food and drink orders
  • Building relationships with customers
  • Preparation of drinks and some food
  • Serving food and drinks
  • Cash and card handling
  • Understanding our menus and products
  • General duties – setting up/closing service
  • Housekeeping duties

As an Apprentice you will be included on a Food and Beverage Services Qualification. Your Qualification will be delivered by an Award Winning Training Provider who will support your learning and development throughout your apprenticeship.

This will involve a Vocational Learning Advisor coming to visit you on a regular basis to deliver the training and guide you through your apprenticeship.

Desired skills

  • Proactive approach to work and able to work on their own initiative as well as in a team
  • Confident in dealing with members of the public
  • Experience of taking orders is an advantage but not essential

Personal qualities

  • A hard worker with good communication skills who is able to provide excellent customer service
  • You will need an outgoing personality and plenty of common sense, be reliable & punctual

Things to consider

The work pattern is any 5 days out of 7 on a rota basis. Shifts will include days, evenings, and weekend work to the requirements of the workplace. This position would ideally suit someone who is 18+ due to licensing rules. This vacancy is for a minimum of 30 hours but during busy periods you may be asked to work more hours, your wage will be pro-rated according to total hours worked. Please note you could be asked to interview earlier than date given, as we are looking to fulfil the positions as soon as possible. Please ensure you apply early to avoid disappointment! This rate applies to apprentices under 19 and those aged 19 or over who are in their first year. Apprentices must be paid at least the minimum wage rate for their age if they are aged 19 or over and have completed their first year. The minimum wage rates are £5.60 an hour for 18-20 year olds and £7.05 for anyone aged 21 and over. Apprentices are paid for their normal working hours and training that’s part of their apprenticeship (usually one day per week).
