Duties to include: 

Assisting the production team ensuring the products are produced in a timely manner, this will involve relevant cleaning duties completed before and after production.

Assisting the laboratory manger when required.

  • Assisting with the collation of company literature to create marketing packs for the purpose of attending business shows and exhibitions.
  • Receiving and sending E-mails (outlook) to include general correspondence and quotes. Taking incoming calls from customers and potential customers and handling enquiries.
  • Possibility for attending agricultural exhibitions
  • Packaging products for dispatch and stock checking.
  • All other administration related duties.
  • It is essential that the applicant owns a car and is able to work 8.30am-5pm Monday to Friday

  • Competent to process basic administrative tasks accurately following instructions
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Excellent communication skills both face to face and via the telephone.
  • Ability to deliver tasks and work to deadlines
  • Confidence and ability to establish effective working relationships
  • Must have a good written and mathematical ability for composing quotes and calculating costings.
  • IT skills required for working with Outlook and the company database
  • A driving licence and own car is desirable but not essential

  • GCSE grades A*-C  in English and maths (or equivalent)
  • Competent user of computer software packages in particular Microsoft Office packages and general IT

The current National Minimum Wage for an apprentice is £3.50 an hour. This rate applies to apprentices under 19 and those aged 19 or over who are in their first year. Apprentices must be paid at least the minimum wage rate for their age if they are aged 19 or over and have completed their first year. The minimum wage rates are £5.60 an hour for 18-20 year olds and £7.05 for anyone aged 21 and over. Apprentices are paid for their normal working hours and training that’s part of their apprenticeship (usually one day per week).
