    The current National Minimum Wage for an apprentice is £3.50 an hour. This rate applies to apprentices under 19 and those aged 19 or over who are in their first year.

    The minimum wage rates are £5.60 an hour for 18-20 year olds and £7.05 for anyone aged 21 and over.
    Apprentices are paid for their normal working hours and training that’s part of their apprenticeship (usually one day per week).

We are recruiting for an office administration apprentice to work within a small but growing business in the marine and sailing industry. As part of a dynamic, flexible team you will be able to follow instructions closely. Day-to-day tasks will include:

  • Taking enquiries via phone and email
  • Filing
  • Database management
  • Inbound sales support
  • General office support and administration.

Experience is not essential but an interest in the marine and sailing industry would be highly beneficial.

About the employer

We specialise in delivering racing dinghies to European events. This enables helm and crew to fly without the added time and stress of getting their boat there. We can repair any boat in any material as well as general maintenance. We specialise in repairing dinghies but can also carry out work on larger vessels. No job is too big or too small. We can also collect and deliver. We have a repair centre at our workshop and we also work closely with "West Country Boat Repairs" near Bristol.
