As the role of a chef de partie you will need to have a good background within a kitchen environment. You will work alongside your head chef to ensure the kitchen brigade runs efficiently and to the highest possible standard.

Main duties will include:

  • Preparing, cooking and presenting dishes
  • Helping to train and develop new trainee chefs in the kitchen
  • Helping the sous chef and head chef to develop new dishes and menus
  • Ensuring you and your team have high standards of food hygiene and follow the rules of health and safety
  • Monitoring portion and waste control to maintain profit margins

  • Previous experience of working within a similar role
  • Previous high volume experience is preferable

Qualifications required

None required - however a Level 1 or 2 qualification in cookery would be beneficial.

Things to consider

For this role it is vital to have kitchen experience. Please ensure you can travel to and from the venue as well as being able to work evenings and weekends. Those under 18 require two days off per week and cannot work more than 40hrs/week or more than 8 hours/day.
