Vacancy full description:

The company are seeking to employ an apprentice mechanical engineer to work closely with other engineers within the business including product development and product rebuild areas.

You will be going through the Mechanical Engineering Apprenticeship Advanced Level 3 and will be making, maintaining and rebuilding our world class binding machines for the print market.

You will be working on;

  • Stripping and repairing complex printing machinery.
  • Building new printing machinery.
  • Refurbishing used machines and making good.
  • Testing and ensuring that faults are repaired and retested for efficiency.
  • Testing new machinery products to ensure they are fit for purpose.

Pay/working Hours: £200 per week, 37 hrs, Mon-Thurs 8:30am-4:45pm, Fri 8:30am-4:15pm

Expected duration of the apprenticeship: 36 months

Any important other information: You will need to have an enthusiasm for mechanical engineering and will need to demonstrate that you have the aptitude to work on our machinery.

Things to consider

You will need to be able to get to The Cressex Business Park in High Wycombe on a daily basis and to Uxbridge College on a weekly basis.

You will be going to college once every week and you will assessed in the workplace by the college on your engineering competence.

You will be undertaking Mechanical Engineering Level 3 which is an advanced apprenticeship.
