  • Assist with all boiler installations, plumbing and property maintenance work.
  • Carry out maintenance work as required.
  • The role involves working with fully trained Plumbing & Heating Operatives carrying out full heating and plumbing installations
  • As well as working with colleagues, the apprentice will be interacting with our client’s agents and also with different trade’s people.
  • You will be assisting the Senior Engineer day to day during visits to domestic and commercial properties.

Things to consider

The current National Minimum Wage for an apprentice is £3.50 an hour. This rate applies to apprentices under 19 and those aged 19 or over who are in their first year. Apprentices must be paid at least the minimum wage rate for their age if they are aged 19 or over and have completed their first year. The minimum wage rates are £5.60 an hour for 18-20 year olds and £7.05 for anyone aged 21 and over. Apprentices are paid for their normal working hours and training that’s part of their apprenticeship (usually one day per week).

Established over 50 years ago DPH Ltd was started as a small family rum business and has grown to be one of the largest mechanical installation companies in the area employing over 20 engineers. Founded by Mr Horace Dover in 1957 the business still remains within the family. It has since expanded and now employs experienced engineers who are able to offer many different services within the residential, commercial and renewable sectors.
