Your core responsibilities will include the administration of the security vetting system which involves working with sensitive and confidential data.

Candidates should have interest for an admin focused role with strong attentional of details and organisational skills.

Main duties:

  • Administration of the security vetting system including completion of forms involving sensitive and confidential information.
  • Contacting employees in relation to information received and responding to queries.
  • Escalating to managers if no response received and advising managers when clearance is obtained (as appropriate).
  • Reviewing renewal dates and updating spreadsheets/systems to ensure that renewals are maintained.
  • Highlighting special briefings and restrictions and ensuring that relevant systems (such as PIP and SAD) are updated accordingly.
  • Updating leavers on relevant systems.
  • Carry out annual checks on DV clearances.
  • Scanning, indexing and disposal of confidential information, as appropriate.
  • Ad hoc administrative work to support Digital and HR.

92% of QA Apprentices secure permanent employment after finishing their apprenticeship. Additionally there may be opportunities to undertake further apprenticeship training as many of our programs offer on-going development tracks.

Things to consider

The current National Minimum Wage for an apprentice is £3.50 an hour. This rate applies to apprentices under 19 and those aged 19 or over who are in their first year. Apprentices must be paid at least the minimum wage rate for their age if they are aged 19 or over and have completed their first year. The minimum wage rates are £5.60 an hour for 18-20 year olds and £7.05 for anyone aged 21 and over. Apprentices are paid for their normal working hours and training that’s part of their apprenticeship (usually one day per week).
