We have a fantastic new opportunity for a Commis Chef at Eype’s Mouth Country Hotel.  We are looking for a passionate and dedicated Commis Chef to become part of the kitchen team.  The position of Commis Chef will involve working in all sections of the kitchen where you will be given the opportunity to demonstrate your abilities and expand on existing skills.  Role includes:

  • Prep of food
  • Cooking meals
  • Maintaining Hygeine
  • Maintaining Health and Safety
  • Cleaning

As part of the role of Commis Chef you will be expected to support a working environment which promotes a positive attitude, pride and good morale whilst ensuring high standards of quality control, handling and storage of commodities to current legislation.  This is a great opportunity for someone to progress and develop their career.  We are looking for a Commis Chef who has a passion for food preparation who is a team player with a positive, enthusiastic attitude and a willingness to learn.

Things to consider

Weekend working. We are located in a rural setting, help with transport could be available in the evening. The current National Minimum Wage for an apprentice is £3.50 an hour. This rate applies to apprentices under 19 and those aged 19 or over who are in their first year. Apprentices must be paid at least the minimum wage rate for their age if they are aged 19 or over and have completed their first year. The minimum wage rates are £5.60 an hour for 18-20 year olds and £7.05 for anyone aged 21 and over.
