    The current National Minimum Wage for an apprentice is £3.50 an hour. This rate applies to apprentices under 19 and those aged 19 or over who are in their first year.
    Apprentices must be paid at least the minimum wage rate for their age if they are aged 19 or over and have completed their first year.
    The minimum wage rates are £5.60 an hour for 18-20 year olds and £7.05 for anyone aged 21 and over.
    Apprentices are paid for their normal working hours and training that’s part of their apprenticeship (usually one day per week).

Duties include:

  • Ensuring health and safety in the kitchen at all times
  • Preparing and presenting fresh food
  • Storing food safely
  • Washing dishes, utensils, containers, cutlery and all other catering equipment
  • Cleaning on a daily basis all catering areas and equipment to the specified standards
  • Adhering to the standards of Food Safety, Health and Safety and all operational
  • procedures and legislation
  • Assisting with stock security, ordering and checking the correct receipt of goods at
  • time of delivery.

Jesters is a softplay centre catering for children between 0 to 12 years and their carer(s). The centre also has a full-time nursery offering childcare for 0 to 5 year olds and holiday club for 5 to 11 years.
