You will be part of the team responsible for the effective administration and monitoring of all external/internal apprenticeship provision and the maintenance of learner data, you would provide flexible clerical administrative support to the team.

This would include filing, assisting with telephone and other face to face enquiries and assist the team with data entry of documentation to ensure full compliance with funding and audit requirements.

As an apprentice you will work with a specific member of staff who will give guidance and support. The candidate will train towards the full apprenticeship framework consisting BTEC Level 3 Diploma in Business Administration and Functional Skills (if applicable).

You will have existing administrative skills at Level 2, IT skills, a methodical approach and a keen eye for detail and accuracy.

Experience of working in a customer service context would be preferable as well as demonstrable computer literacy skills

Qualifications required

 4 GCSEs at grade C / 4 or higher including English and Maths or have a relevant Level 2 business administration qualification* or have relevant experience* and be able to demonstrate ability equivalent to, or exceeding Level 2 in English and maths.
 

Future prospects

This apprenticeship will not automatically lead to a permanent job role at Eastleigh College. The objective of the apprenticeship scheme is for our apprentices to attain valuable competence, workplace skills and proven experience that can be demonstrated to any future employer.

The current National Minimum Wage for an apprentice is £3.50 an hour. This rate applies to apprentices under 19 and those aged 19 or over who are in their first year. Apprentices must be paid at least the minimum wage rate for their age if they are aged 19 or over and have completed their first year. The minimum wage rates are £5.60 an hour for 18-20 year olds and £7.05 for anyone aged 21 and over. Apprentices are paid for their normal working hours and training that’s part of their apprenticeship (usually one day per week).
