Main duties and responsibilities:

  • Office reception duties including switchboard and greeting visitors
  • Organise incoming and outgoing post
  • Maintain and process records for foster children, carers and local authorities
  • Assist with the administration of foster carer assessments and reviews
  • Administer records of statutory checks
  • Assist with the administration of respite placements
  • Assist with regular file audits
  • Provide general administrative support
  • Provide 1st line basic systems support to colleagues
  • Attend and participate in team meetings and minute where required

General duties and responsibilities:

  • Maintain appropriate and accurate records, documents and filing systems
  • Maintain a professional image and standard of presentation
  • Attend and participate in meetings and training as required
  • Work in accordance with Credo Care’s policies, procedures and ethos
  • Work under the guidance of regulatory framework including the National Minimum Standards

Undertake any other reasonable duties at the request of your line manager, senior managers or directors, dependent upon the post holder’s area of expertise, knowledge and skills, and with regard to the level of responsibility afforded by the post held.

Things to consider

National Minimum Wage From 1st April 2017, the NMW for Apprentices is £3.50 per hour. This applies to 16 - 18 year old Apprentices and those aged 19 and over in the first year of their Apprenticeship. For all other Apprentices the Apprentice National Minimum wage appropriate to their age applies. The wage for Apprentices applies to both time spent on the job plus time spent in training. INTERVIEW We will be interviewing candidates who meet the criteria as they apply and will recruit after a successful interview which may be before the closing date. Reality Check You will be responsible for your travel expenses to and from your place of work. Therefore, you must have the means to get to your place of work on a daily basis whilst awaiting for your first wages to be paid.

Training provider

On the job training with the employer whilst working towards the Apprenticeship Framework - consisting of the Intermediate NVQ Level 2, Personal Learning and Thinking Skills (PLTS) and the Employment Rights and Responsibilities (ERR) Workbook. It may be necessary for you to complete Functional Skills in Maths, English and ICT – subject to previous achieved grades.

Regular work based assessments/observations carried out by Kent Training & Apprenticeships Tutor Assessor, to determine competency and meet with Awarding Body standards.
