Key responsibilities of the role will be:

  • Undertake typing of correspondence/reports etc and other administrative duties as required.
  • Ensure all phone calls are answered, a record kept of all calls, messages relayed and enquiries dealt with.
  • To take responsibility for ensuring that all services and equipment are appropriately maintained and kept in working order.
  • Communicate daily in a professional manner with customers, suppliers, colleagues, drivers and other departments
  • Assist with load and vehicle scheduling
  • Production of despatch notes, loading lists and other relevant outgoing paperwork
  • Checking incoming driver packs and general data entry
  • Booking deliveries in
  • Assisting with CC equipment pool management
  • Order stock and coordinate local collections
  • Tachograph and working time analysis
  • Vehicle defects, repairs and maintenance scheduling
  • Verifying invoices and keeping vehicle records
  • To work efficiently and effectively as part of a team
  • To maintain high levels of Health and Safety standards

The role can not be defined fully therefore will include any other duĕes that would be reasonably expected of the post holder.

20 days per annum + Bank Holidays.

The key dates are to be used as a guide only. Should the right candidate be found, this vacancy may close early. The current National Minimum Wage for an apprentice is £3.50 an hour. This rate applies to apprentices under 19 and those aged 19 or over who are in their first year. Apprentices must be paid at least the minimum wage rate for their age if they are aged 19 or over and have completed their first year. The minimum wage rates are £5.60 an hour for 18-20 year olds and £7.05 for anyone aged 21 and over.
