To assist the Engineering Supervisor to provide a professional Engineering service focused on maintaining the key assets and providing a rapid response in the event of machine breakdown and equipment failures.

  • Comply with the company Health and Safety procedures and rules.
    • Only operate machines and equipment for which training has been undertaken.
    • Follow the company safe systems of work and machine check procedures.
    • Report all accidents and incidents.
    • Wear the mandated personal protective equipment and maintain this equipment as required.
    • Contribute ideas and suggestions that will reduce risk in the business.
  • Assist the Engineering Supervisor in delivering the planned preventative maintenance program on all key assets.
  • Assist the Engineering Supervisor to ensure a rapid response to machine breakdown and equipment failures.
  • To be prepared to be learn and be involved in a variety of Engineering and Site maintenance disciplines, including, but not limited to:
    • Machining.
    • Welding.
    • Plumbing.
    • Electrical installation and fault finding.
  • To undertake the cleaning and repair of Tools, as and when required by the Operators.
  • Assist the Engineering Supervisor to maintain a clean, tidy and organized Maintenance Workshop.
  • To provide technical support and a trouble shooting service for Production to assist in the resolution of production, process and development problems.
  • To maintain good and co-operative relationships with colleagues involved in other aspects of the factory to promote strong teamwork and co-operation across the company to meet customer requirements.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance safety, reduce defects, improve processes or develop the working environment.  Communicate them to the Engineering Supervisor and play an active role in their implementation.
  • Support a continuous improvement culture by contributing ideas and suggestions that will reduce non-value added time and improve efficiencies.
  • Undertake training, as and when required, on machines and processes to support Production.
  • Undertake any other reasonable requests or duties as required by the Engineering Supervisor.
