The Post

 

Vision Business are working in partnership with Intergrated Doorsets to recruit an HR focussed Business Administrator. As a HR Business Apprentice you will be working as part of an office  team, supporting many aspects and departements within the company. There is an opportunity for progression for the right candidate.  

 

Main duties and responsibilities

 

  • Preparing new starter paperwork
  • Preparing leaver paperwork
  • Auditing employee working hours
  • Monitoring sickness, holidays & unauthorised absences
  • Maintaining the organisational chart
  • Manning reception desk
  • Booking flights / hotels / taxis
  • Placing stationery orders
  • Mailing duties
  • Manage board room bookings
  • Ad hoc administrative duties
  • Attend and complete relevant on‐the‐job training as required
  • Strive to continuously improve team work, processes and effectiveness in the work area
  • Learn to apply HSE principles and practices within your working environment and ensure compliance with protective clothing equipment requirements at all times
  • Adhere to the company’s policies and management practices

 

Applicants will be required to attend an Assessment Centre with Vision Apprentices as part of the screening process.

Qualifications required

  • GCSE Grades A to C or 9-4 (new grades) equivalent are essential, specifically English
  • ICT Level 1 or Business Admin Level 1 or equivalent

Future prospects

Vision Apprentices has strong employer links within this region and industry sector and following on from successful completion of this apprenticeship there maybe the opportunity for progression onto an advanced/higher apprenticeship.

Things to consider

• This is a Monthly paid post and you are required to work a week in hand. • You may be required to work on a flexible basis. • You will be entitled to receive statutory minimum annual leave. • You are responsible for funding your own travel to and from your place of work and will be expected to travel as reasonably required. • Shortlisted applicants will be subject to a pre-screening assessment. • You must work with your assessor to complete course work on time and to a high standard. • You must conduct yourself in a safe and diligent manner and comply with health and safety policies and procedures. • You must uphold and promote the company policies and procedures, promoting those specifically to your area of work, including Equality and Diversity and Safeguarding. • To undertake any other duties as may be reasonably required commensurate with the post. • In the event that there are excessive numbers of applicants, candidates who can demonstrate a high level of interest or experience will be preferred and will be shortlisted against the criteria, the vacancy may also close earlier than the planned closing date. • PLEASE NOTE ONLY APPLICATIONS WITH A CURRENT CONTACT NUMBER AND/OR EMAIL ADDRESS CAN BE ACCEPTED The current National Minimum Wage for an apprentice is £3.50 an hour. This rate applies to apprentices under 19 and those aged 19 or over who are in their first year. Apprentices must be paid at least the minimum wage rate for their age if they are aged 19 or over and have completed their first year. The minimum wage rates are £5.60 an hour for 18-20 year olds and £7.05 for anyone aged 21 and over. Apprentices are paid for their normal working hours and training that’s part of their apprenticeship (usually one day per week).
