    Wages explained

    The current National Minimum Wage for an apprentice is £3.50 an hour. This rate applies to apprentices under 19 and those aged 19 or over who are in their first year.
    Apprentices must be paid at least the minimum wage rate for their age if they are aged 19 or over and have completed their first year.
    The minimum wage rates are £5.60 an hour for 18-20 year olds and £7.05 for anyone aged 21 and over.
    Apprentices are paid for their normal working hours and training that’s part of their apprenticeship (usually one day per week).

Loaf Hair are looking for an honest and reliable apprentice to join their team, they must be hard-working and team oriented. 

They will also assist stylists and help keep the salon tidy whilst working towards an NVQ Level 2 in Hairdressing

The applicant will be expected to:

  • Greet clients and serve refreshments
  • They will also assist stylists and shampoo clients' hair
  • Help keep the salon tidy
  • Work on reception

Future prospects

The successful applicant will have the opportunity to go on to Advanced Level Hairdressing, become a stylist in the salon and the opportunity to attend training sessions with Wella

Things to consider

One late night per week. Working Saturdays. Hairdressing is physically hard work and you will be active for a long time every day. Hairdressing requires some understanding of human biology and chemistry, and this will be taught during your Apprenticeship. Hairdressing is heavily customer-focused and you will be constantly interacting with people.

Training provider
