A multiple award winning mortgage broker is seeking an administrator for its operations team.

This role will be challenging and varied. This is an ideal position to gain experience in the corporate world within the financial industry. The role provides good exposure to the basic administrative skills required in business.

Duties to include:

  • Liaising with mortgage providers/solicitors and clients.
  • Answer incoming calls.
  • Sorting and distributing incoming post.
  • Copying, certifying and uploading documentation to client files.
  • Using bespoke software.
  • Sorting and distributing incoming post and franking outgoing post.
  • Sorting and distributing faxes.
  • Sending documentation to lenders via fax/email/post.

The current National Minimum Wage for an apprentice is £3.50 an hour. This rate applies to apprentices under 19 and those aged 19 or over who are in their first year. Apprentices must be paid at least the minimum wage rate for their age if they are aged 19 or over and have completed their first year. The minimum wage rates are £5.60 an hour for 18-20 year olds and £7.05 for anyone aged 21 and over. Apprentices are paid for their normal working hours and training that’s part of their apprenticeship (usually one day per week).

On the job training working towards BTEC Level 2 Diploma in Business Administration (combined qualification, knowledge & NVQ) You will be required to attend monthly workshops at Farnborough College of Technology.

Where appropriate, you will need to attend Functional Skills workshops to achieve the required levels of Maths and English.
