Plasmotec are looking for an apprentice toolmaker to work with a team of experienced toolmakers and machinists. Duties will include assisting with all aspects of machine shop processes for:

  • Milling
  • Turning
  • Grinding
  • Die Sink Spark Erosion

You will receive on the job training as well as studying for a formal qualification at College.

Things to consider

There is some heavy lifting involved, so candidates must be able to cope with the physical demands of the role. Must be able to arrange own transport to work in Brackley and College in Bicester. The National Minimum Wage (NMW) for Apprentices is £3.50 from the 1st October 2016. This applies to 16-18 year old Apprentices and those aged 19 and over in the first year of their Apprenticeship. For all other Apprentices the Apprentice National Minimum wage appropriate to their age applies. The Wage for Apprentices applies to both time spent on the job plus time spent training.
