The successful candidate will be given training on all aspects of TIG Fabrication and Welding, this will include:

  • Following instructions from your mentor.
  • Reading drawings on specifications given by the customer.
  • Calculating the size of steel required.
  • Cutting steel to the required size.

Requirements and prospects

Desired skills

  • Some experience of welding and fabrication is desirable but not essential.
  • Excellent time keeping.
  • Good attendance record.

Personal qualities

  • Good work ethic.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Ability to work alone but will ask for help if needed.

Qualifications required

  • GCSE A*-D in maths and English (or equivalent).

Hourly rate of pay is negotiable depending on experience.
