Image+ currently has a Web developer who joined as an Apprentice 3 years ago. This is an exciting opportunity for another Apprentice who would enjoy the diverse challenges a Digital Agency would bring. You will be working within a team designing and developing websites and Apps for a wide range of clients.

Image+ is seeking an enthusiastic person who enjoys IT and is keen to become a Web Developer. Image+ would help train the successful candidate to become a fulltime Web Developer.

As a Web Developer you would be responsible for working on a range of diverse projects. Your assignments could include:

  • Website Development
  • Bespoke web applications development
  • Mobile App development

The role would be predominately 75% new development and the project pipeline has never looked so vibrant. The projects you will be undertaking will be for existing clients as well as new customers and the individual will need to be able to prioritise their time as you will be responsible for working on multiple projects at a given time.

As an apprentice, you will have an understanding of Web Development and possibly App development and will be keen to learn and move to the next level.

DESIRABLE SKILLS

You will need to be willing to learn new skills and have the drive to take on new challenges and make things happen. The ideal candidate would have some knowledge of one or more of the following:

  • Object Oriented Programming
  • HTML5
  • CCS
  • jQuery
  • PHP
  • MySQL

Additional information:

Good verbal and written communication skills are required as you would potentially be dealing with customers face to face, via telephone or email on a daily basis.

Currently Image+ has a team of 7 full time employees, 3 full time contractors and 1 sub contractor. The team is friendly and sociable which helps create an excellent working environment. If successfully short-listed for this role, you will be required to attend more than one interview, the first of which will be in Digbeth, Birmingham. The current National Minimum Wage for an apprentice is £3.50 an hour. This rate applies to apprentices under 19 and those aged 19 or over who are in their first year. Apprentices must be paid at least the minimum wage rate for their age if they are aged 19 or over and have completed their first year. The minimum wage rates are £5.60 an hour for 18-20 year olds and £7.05 for anyone aged 21 and over. Apprentices are paid for their normal working hours and training that’s part of their apprenticeship (usually one day per week).
