During your Apprenticeship you will be expected to rotate in various departments of the company.

Duties will Include:

  • Mounting of electronic components
  • Sales:  Assisting with enquiries from customers on specific bespoke items
  • Purchasing of raw materials, chasing orders, sourcing suppliers
  • On site commissioning installing throughout the UK
  • Metal work fabrication and welding
  • Computer Aided Design and technical development
  • On site maintenance
  • Planning commissioning and installation of alarm systems in hospitals prisons etc.

On successful completion of the Apprenticeship you will have opportunity to choose which department you enjoyed most as a permanent position if available.

Qualifications required

The applicants MUST have GCSE s (or equivalent) at grade A*-B in Maths, English and Science.

The Employer believes the ideal candidate for this position will be 18 years of age due to the complexity and nature of the working environment.

Future prospects

Would progress to HNC level with the company after the initial Apprenticeship.

The current National Minimum Wage for an apprentice is £3.50 an hour. This rate applies to apprentices under 19 and those aged 19 or over who are in their first year. Apprentices must be paid at least the minimum wage rate for their age if they are aged 19 or over and have completed their first year. The minimum wage rates are £5.60 an hour for 18-20 year olds and £7.05 for anyone aged 21 and over. Apprentices are paid for their normal working hours and training that’s part of their apprenticeship (usually one day per week).
