Lab Technician Apprenticeship

A typical Day.

  • Report to Line Manager/direct supervisor
  • Reflect on previous day’s outputs
  • Attend morning meeting to pick up any actions from production or customers
  • Lab testing/data input
  • College/project related activities agreed with line manager supervisor.

Weekly

  • One to one with Line manager/Supervisor (15 mins)

Monthly

  • One to One with senior manager (Technical Manager, National Engineering Manager and HR Manager on a Rota)

Annually:

Appraisal (with 6 monthly review) Technical Manager

We are searching for people that are looking to start on their career path in Industry. On completion of the apprenticeship there is the potential to move into a full time role within the company. This may not be limited to the Technical / Quality Department as other opportunities may arise within the business based on the individuals performance and interests during their apprenticeship (Sales role, purchasing role, etc…)

Things to consider

The starting salary £160 per week, this is increased annually on a rising percentage scale up to the group average salary of our resident Lab Technicians. Training provider

Level 3 Lab Technician Apprenticeship

BTEC Level 3 Diploma in Applied Science:

Competency Training Programme or NVQ Laboratory and Associated Technical Activities;

English and Maths (Level 2) if required;

Training to be part of contracted hours making up the working week

If functional skills are required they will be delivered on a weekly basis at Loughborough College
