    Wages explained

    The current National Minimum Wage for an apprentice is £3.50 an hour. This rate applies to apprentices under 19 and those aged 19 or over who are in their first year.
    Apprentices must be paid at least the minimum wage rate for their age if they are aged 19 or over and have completed their first year.
    The minimum wage rates are £5.60 an hour for 18-20 year olds and £7.05 for anyone aged 21 and over.
    Apprentices are paid for their normal working hours and training that’s part of their apprenticeship (usually one day per week).

This is an opportunity to become part of the Bosch Apprenticeship programme as a Service Technician. Supported throughout by a dedicated employer - this vacancy is for a 3 year Apprenticeship that will resulting the successful candidate gaining an Advanced Apprenticeship in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair.
As a Service Technician you would be involved in a variety of tasks ranging from;

  • Servicing and repairs
  • Replacing components
  • Using specialist equipment such as electrical and electronic diagnostics
  • Engine tuning equipment to measure performance
  • Rectifying faults on customer’s vehicles in a busy workshop

No specific skills required, however an interest in motor vehicles would be beneficial.

Qualifications required

GCSEs (or equivalent) grades A-C in:

This is a Service Technician Apprenticeship, training is delivered by block release at the Bosch training centre at Uxbridge, with assessments being conducted in the work place by an assessor.

As a result you will receive the following qualifications:

  • Level 3 VCQ & VRQ Certificate in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair
