This position is to cover supported living housing in Sittingbourne, Minster, Sheppey or Sheerness.

  • To provide high quality service to people within their own homes
  • To provide emotional and practical support who use the service
  • To provide personal care that will involve washing, bathing, hair washing, dental care and toileting needs
  • To provide guidance on safeguarding to service users
  • Support people who use the service to prompt medication, including storage, administering and record keeping
  • Enable the people who use the service to achieve independence
  • Assist with social and leisure activities
  • Assist in writing and updating individual support plans
  • Assist and participate in a wide range of administrative tasks

National Minimum Wage From 1st October 2016 The National Minimum Wage (NMW) rate for apprentices is £3.40 per hour. From April 2017 this rises to £3.50 per hour. This applies to 16-18 year old apprentices and those aged 19 and over in the first year of their Apprenticeship. For all other apprentices the National Minimum wage appropriate to their age applies. The Minimum Wage for Apprentices applies to time spent on the job plus time spent training. INTERVIEW We will be interviewing candidates who meet the criteria as they apply and will recruit after a successful interview which may be before the closing date. Reality Check You will be responsible for your travel expenses to and from your place of work. Therefore, you must have the means to get to your place of work on a daily basis whilst awaiting for your first wages to be paid. Travel Information Nearest train station is Sittingbourne station. Walking distance from station to bus stop is 459 feet, takes 2 minutes. Bus number 349 (5 stops), takes 4 minutes. Walking distance from bus stop to destination is 0.5 miles, takes 9 minutes. Blossoms Care Services specialises in both Supported Living and Domiciliary Care. Our services are about the provision of individualised services tailored for an individual. Our Supported Living service is currently based in Swale, Kent and our Domiciliary Care Service is Kent wide. We are able to provide Supported Living and Domiciliary Care to a range of Service Users including older people and those suffering with dementia, people with physical disabilities, learning disabilities and mental health needs. We are able to provide a comprehensive package for those who wish to live in Supported Living, whilst we can offer the same standard of support and intervention for those who wish to remain in their own homes. Blossoms role within both of these areas, is to support those with vulnerability and offer empowering tools by which to maintain or develop their independence.
