Travelworld Motorhomes are seeking to recruit two customer service apprentices to deal with handovers of vehicles once the customer has purchased a motorhome. The apprentice will support the sales team and will gain a Level 2 customer service qualification. Once qualified the role will lead to the person continuing to work more in the sales office with the sales executives assisting in selling the vehicles.

Duties include

  • Face to face interaction with customers who have bought a motorhome or caravan.  This will include showing customers how everything works on their new purchase (Caravan or motorhome)
  • Taking telephone enquiries and making telephone calls
  • Arrange for first service of caravan or motorhome
  • Introduce customers to all the benefits they have from their recent purchase
  • All round customer support as and where directed
  • Meeting and greeting customers
  • Looking after customers whilst they are on the premises of the company
  • Being trained to deliver outstanding customer service

  • Good customer service skills
  • Good communication skills both oral and written
  • Knowledge of IT (word, emails, Facebook, twitter)
  • Possibly an interest in motor homes but definitely not essential
  • Excellent telephone manner
  • To have good time keeping skills
  • To have good attention to detail
  • To have good numeracy and literacy skills
  • To be able to multi task
  • To be able to prioritise their workload

Qualifications required

Good level of GCSE in maths and English Grade D or above (or equivalent qualifications).

Future prospects

Upon successful completion of the apprenticeship the person will continue working more in the sales office with the sales executives assisting in selling the vehicles.

Training on the Apprenticeships Programme for 16 to 18 year olds is a priority and fully-funded by Government. Training for Apprenticeships for those over this age is part funded, with employers expected to make a part or full contribution. The current National Minimum Wage (NMW) for apprentices from the 1st April 2017 is £3.50 per hour. This applies to 16-18 year old apprentices and those aged over 19 in the first year of their Apprenticeship. The new NMW applies to time working plus time spent training as this is also part of the Apprenticeship. Anyone not covered by this age category above will be entitled to the NMW appropriate for their age.
