Supporting all aspects of the business, the surgery is dedicated to customer service processes.  Responsibilities include:

  • Dealing with incoming and outgoing calls
  • Responding to emails efficiently
  • Dealing directly with patients; making appointments, handling queries and calls
  • Filing
  • Photocopying
  • Typing
  • Processing and checking paperwork for accuracy
  • Distributing the daily post
  • General reception duties
  • Supporting the Personnel team
  • Producing letters
  • Participating in clinical data extraction and reporting

This role would suit a well organised and conscientious team player, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Qualifications required

For this level 2 framework, A-C in English is essential and Maths preferred, with an ICT qualification considered an advantage.

Future prospects

This position is for the term of the Apprenticeship programme but the right candidate will have the opportunity to apply for permanent positions as available within the surgery.

• Must undertake mandatory training as part of induction, including Life Support/Information Governance/ Safeguarding • Must sign a disclaiming ensuring patient confidentiality, (must not already be registered at The Grange Surgery)
