A Hairdressing Apprentice is required to work alongside stylists to assist in the smooth running of the salon. This apprenticeship requires someone who is really passionate about hairdressing, however no previous experience is needed.

Apprentices must be paid at least the minimum wage rate for their age if they are aged 19 or over and have completed their first year.
The minimum wage rates are £5.60 an hour for 18-20 year olds and £7.05 for anyone aged 21 and over.
Apprentices are paid for their normal working hours and training that’s part of their apprenticeship (usually one day per week).

Intermediate Level Apprenticeship
This is a fantastic opportunity for a budding hair stylist to complete an apprenticeship with one of Coleshill's top salons! You will have the best experience learning all aspects of hairdressing whilst learning from some great stylsts who have a great amount of experience to ensure you reach your hairdressing goals. Your main taks will include:
- Shampooing hair
- Conditioning hair
- Offering excellent customer service
- Salon cleaning
- Reception duties
- Completing all units of your NVQ
- Arranging models to practice for assessments
- Serving refreshments

Things to consider
Our assessor will visit you at the salon fortnightly to complete your exams and observations. The current National Minimum Wage for an apprentice is £3.50 an hour. This rate applies to apprentices under 19 and those aged 19 or over who are in their first year.
