    Wages explained

    The current National Minimum Wage for an apprentice is £3.50 an hour. This rate applies to apprentices under 19 and those aged 19 or over who are in their first year.
    Apprentices must be paid at least the minimum wage rate for their age if they are aged 19 or over and have completed their first year.
    The minimum wage rates are £5.60 an hour for 18-20 year olds and £7.05 for anyone aged 21 and over.
    Apprentices are paid for their normal working hours and training that’s part of their apprenticeship (usually one day per week).

FranchisingWorks is an innovative programme which seeks to help people set up new businesses, though we do specialise within helping people set up business through franchising.

The job role is to support the Business Advisors and Project Management on a daily basis, the role is office based, but you will be required from time to time to visit partners, clients and attend events.

Part of your role is to offer administration services within the office, general office duties, dealing with clients, organising dairies and arranging appointments, coordinating workshops, dealing with Partners and referral partners.

You will also be looking at Social media and dealing with incoming enquiries via different referral sources. 

You will be undertaking a Level 2 Business Admin as part of this role.

As you will be working on your own from time to time, you must have the ability and drive to work unsupervised.

This role will give you an excellent insight and responsibility in working with an administration role, with this role there will be routes for progression.

Working week  – Monday to Friday 9am- 5pm

Working hours- 35 hours per week

1 hour lunch break

£4.00 per hour

The wage will raise after a successful probation period.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Daily management of the CRM system
  • Daily management of info@email, dealing with all enquiries and sign posting them to the correct staff member
  • Daily management  of the social media accounts ,Twitter, Facebook & Linked in, marketing and posting on social media
  • Dealing with all social media enquiries and sign posting to the correct member of staff
  • Answering telephone calls
  • Sending emails
  • Arranging meeting and managing diaries for PM & Business advisors
  • Coordination workshop, contacting clients
  • Putting together all resources for workshop
  • Collating all paper and putting  together client files
  • Calling referral partners and sources to advise of workshops and services
  • Collating information to support and assist PM for financial claims
  • Any other activities deemed relevant to Franchising Works.

Qualifications required

  • GCSE Maths and English A-C (or equivalent) preferred, but not essential.

Once the full apprenticeship framework is achieved, employees will be ready to further their career and it may be possible to progress to a higher level apprenticeship.
