Tiger apprentices learn and experience all the major manufacturing stages in the production process.

Working with a skilled mentor they spend 4 months in each department (including fabrication, chassis build, assembly, air and electrical systems through to trailer completion). They are supported throughout the programme with regular reviews and assessments at each key stage.

Before new apprentices start working on our shop floor they get 1 week basic training at college to teach them the basic workshop skills and safe working practices.

Following basic training they go to college on day release where they will receive workshop training to ensure they achieve the required standards for the Level 2 apprenticeship.

Qualifications required

  • GCSE’s A-C (or equivalent) are desirable but not essential as other qualifications will be considered
  • Functional Skills are offered as part of the apprenticeship framework depending on qualifications held by the candidate

Working from our state of the art manufacturing facility in Winsford, Tiger understands the importance of developing and encouraging young talent into the industry. In partnership with Mid Cheshire College we have developed a two year programme leading to a Level 2 Apprenticeship in Engineering Manufacturing. Training provider

  • 1 week basic training at college to teach the basic workshop skills and safe working practices
  • Attend college on a day release to teach basic workshop skills and safe working practices
  • Shop floor training in all the major manufacturing areas including fabrication, chassis building assembly and air and electrical systems.

The successful candidate will have to attend a day release at Mid Cheshire College where they will work towards gaining their Technical Certificate and NVQ in Engineering. They may also be required to attend Functional Skills sessions dependant on qualifications held.
